Thanks alot Mr Khalid for your subject, but i don’t really know if you’re working in teaching in jordan beside i think its a big jump to compare our teaching system with the american’s one , not for the lack of resourses or money as you say but for the difference of how do we look and what do we expect from our schools , when millions of dollars spent in having new computers for school in which there are no elecricity this roblem , when we force our teachers to take as much training courses as possible and i swear many of these projects is not nessesary and more not effective in our school
I worked as a math teacher for 3 years in ministrey of education and this year i got enough working in such conditions .
sorry for my bad english i wish i wrote in arabic it would be much better for me and surely for you

well, what do u expect of a system that contains:
- students who, if decided to work hard, work hard onyly to get a grade
-students who have no rspect for rules ( because they were raised so)
- students who were always told that u need ur degree so u can work and get high pay only
- teachers who spend the time in which they’re supposed to be teaching telling students what they did yesterday
- parents who don’t really watch out what the abilities and skills of their children are
and finally
- an educational system that works by money only?

to be advanced, all the above and more must be changed

it’s not the system that needs adjustments, it’s the way we consider it and the way it is executed

I hope more school teachers get such opportunity to experience the education system in other parts of the world. We can always learn from others. But, I agree with Muhannad the school education system in the U.S. is not at the top. It is ranked 25th in math and science. Although, the school education system in Jordan is not as good as it should be but at least it is in better shape than our higher education system (i.e., our universities).

The US of A ranks 19 when it comes the outcome of their school system, and # 1 in drop out rates, But their universities are in much better shape than their schools.
